A solar rooftop system is a photovoltaic (PV) system installed on the roof of a building to generate electricity from sunlight. It typically includes solar panels, an inverter, and other electrical components like wiring and mounting structures. The system converts sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity, which is then converted to alternating current (AC) by the inverter for use in the building or to be fed back into the grid.
